Pipe Band - Learners

Our Pipe Band Learner Sections re-started again on Monday 6th January from 7.15-8.00pm at Culter School.  Prospective players can join our Learner Section from the age of 8 (or Junior Section age), and practice on Monday and Wednesday evenings during the school term.

Our organisation is extremely proud that the vast majority of members who play with our Novice Juvenile Band and Culter & District have been taught their piping and drumming skills from scratch by us.

Our current  piping tutors are Bruce Fraser and Andy Fraser, and our drummers are taught by Trevor Crichton, Ross Bisset, John Grant, Stuart Hart and Adam Robb.

The band is proud of it's members who have progressed and found success elsewhere. Many of these stay in the organisation into Culter and District, whilst others have enjoyed progression to Grade 1 bands such as Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia, David Urquhart Travel, Vale of Atholl, Dysart and Dundonald, Glasgow Skye Association, Hydro Electric Buchan, Grampian Police and Bucksburn and District.
